Note: This support article is part of a series for our custom hosted Telegram bot integration. If you have a question regarding this advanced integration that hasn't been answered, please connect directly with your Account Manager or custom Technical Architect.
If you haven't already created your own custom hosted Telegram bot for your Antistock business, please follow the steps outlined in this support article: https://support.antistock.io/en/articles/12306993-how-do-i-create-a-custom-hosted-telegram-bot-for-my-business.
Connect Your Channel
When you create and set up your custom hosted Telegram bot on Antistock, you can then connect multiple Telegram channels, groups, or direct message endpoints directly from your integrations dashboard.
This allows you to invite members, sell access to private groups, or automatically send post-checkout invites to your Telegram communities.
To connect your first (or additional) channels to your custom hosted Telegram bot, follow the steps below:
Visit your integrations dashboard or copy and paste this link into your browser:
https://dash.antistock.io/integrations/telegram-bots.Tap on "Actions" next to your hosted bot, then within the dropdown, select "Channels".
Add Your Bot as Administrator
Open your bot in Telegram (you’ll see the username on your dashboard, e.g.,
@astock_custom_bot
).Add your bot as an administrator to the target channel or group and grant your bot the following administrator permissions:
Change group info
Delete messages
Ban users
Invite users via link
Pin messages
Manage video chats
Copy the connection secret displayed in your dashboard.
Send the secret directly into the Telegram channel/group you’re connecting.
Once the bot detects the secret, your channel will be automatically connected.
If you don’t complete the steps in time, the connection request will expire, and you’ll need to generate a new one.
Note: The bot must have these administrator privileges to connect successfully.
... and you’re all set. Your custom hosted Telegram bot is now connected to your channels. With that connection, you now have full control over private access, member invites, and automated post-checkout onboarding.
Manage Your Channels
You can connect multiple channels to the same hosted bot. You’ll also be able to disconnect channels at any time from the same dashboard. Once connected, you can filter your connected endpoints based on channel, group, or direct message type.
Channel Use Cases
Here are a few examples of how connected channels can generate new revenue and continue to streamline your business flow on Antistock:
Automatically sell access to a private Telegram group or channel. Customers receive an invite after checkout. Exclusively create paywalls for private content.
Invite buyers into a channel immediately after purchase, where they can receive updates, product unlocks, or onboarding instructions.
Reward connected users with time-limited coupons, special promotions, or new product previews directly in your Telegram channel.
Drive engagement by filtering groups vs. channels and segmenting users into communities best suited for product discussions, support, or VIP announcements.
